Adding Details to the Book Nook

Now that I removed the closet, there's a cozy place to curl up with a book or compose a little music. Pardon the feather duster on the shelf... there's construction dust to clean! (see previous postings for details). Here it is as part of the living room. It still feels a tad empty... I'm really not sure what to do with all the middle space. I love how it "feels" though!

  1. I think you are going to have fun with this space :) Now, about that photo of the hallway with all its furnishings, if I didn't know this is mini I would NEVER guess it. I love that seat in the bay window - how about a closeup so I can really drool over it, pretty please ;)

  3. Ladies,
Thanks so much for your compliments!

Norma, You're so sweet! Have you clicked on any of the pictures? Usually they will let you zoom in (except for my first entries when I didn't know what I was doing :)) I'd be happy to take a close-up of the settee too. It's homemade from balsa wood and turnings from Houseworks. I'll warn you though...it's far from perfect when you look closely! Maybe far away is better! :)

  4. Daisy, the room looks wonderful! As for the empty space, if it bothers you, how about a small foot stool or tuffet? Also you could put in a sewing stand for the lady of the house.

Keep it up! I can't wait to see more.

  5. Of course, how stupid, I forgot about the click and zoom! I have now taken full advantage of it. I don't care if there are flaws in the construction (which I can't see), the design is perfectly proportioned and I love the cushion fabric and the litte touch of lace. I'd love to spend an hour or two here reading in the afternoon sun, could you bring me a cup of tea please, I like a little milk and sugar ...

  7. Daisy, your little Book Nook is wonderful! And I must agree with Norma, it took me a minute to realize that the hallway shot was NOT your RL hall! (mark of a true master!!!)
